Well, the six miles went well. Not much to say, except that it's getting easier and I'm getting more toned. Also, as of last night I am doing Yoga. It feels great! Have any of you tried it? Not only does it help your core and flexibility but it feels very rejuvenating.
As far as the no sugar thing goes, I'm still staying strong. For some reason, it's been harder than usual lately, though. It doesn't help that my wife has been eating a lot of delicious desserts!
I LOVE yoga! I took a Power Yoga class at BYU a few years ago and it was the most intense workout of my life! More intense than even swimming. I remember after the first one, I was sore for five or six days. I once read in a fitness magazine about an Olympian who thought she'd try yoga and her fellow Olympian friend said, "Take a towel, it's going to kick your butt." She thought, Are you kidding? But then took the class and it did, indeed, kick her butt. Are you taking a class, or doing a DVD or what?
ReplyDeleteGood job with the sugar thing! I think I crave it more during the holidays, especially Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Maybe that's why you are?
I think you're totally right. Halloween was really hard since I saw all that delicious candy Rachel brought home and shared with Whitney.
ReplyDeleteI just got an iPhone app that have illustrations of a bunch of yoga exercises and explanations. I felt sore the next day on my run. It was like I worked out muscles I didn't know exist.
